5 Ways to Stay on Track!

First introduced in our Winter Issue ( Feb 2021 ). We talked about how we stay on top of our goals. Lets us know which ones you enjoy most, and which ones worked best for you.

  1. Be honest and realistic with yourself. Oftentimes we set goals that are at the time, too hard for us to achieve. That can be because of our current living situations, environment, etc. Make sure you're challenging yourself, but also staying within your ability to achieve. For example, if your goal is to lose weight, don't say "I'll never eat Ice Cream again". That's not only putting pressure on yourself but, you're also setting yourself up to fail. Try not to limit yourself in such ways.

  2. Keeping track of your goals. Writing down your goals is important. It's a great way of keeping your mind fresh. Keeping this list of goals in a place you'll always see it ( Example: Refrigerator, Dinner Table, or Counter ) can help remind you of what you're trying to achieve

  3. What are the reasons for the goal or goals? Are you trying to accomplish the goal based on how you feel or is it motivated to please someone else? Always work towards being a better version of yourself, never for the validation of others. Your heart, mind, and passion need to be into this for it to work.

  4. Be sure to congratulate yourself along the way. Sure, you haven't completely achieved your goal, but you're trying. You're moving closer and closer to that special day. Don't be afraid to reward yourself.

  5. Don't give up. Every goal is hard to achieve. Nothing comes easy. There will always be challenges along the way, but you're going to be proud of yourself when you can finally say "I did it!"
